Το Σάββατο 28/9/2019 οι Mats Gustafsson (baritone sax) και Christof Kurzmann (electronics, φωνή) θα  ξεκινήσουν μια ηχητική περιπέτεια με αφετηρία την κοινή τους δισκογραφική δουλειά.

On Friday 27/9/2019 two great contemporary composers and improvisers, Mats Gustafsson (baritone sax) and Christof Kurzmann (electronics, voice) will collaborate on stage for the first time with a Greek band, Sans Corps. Together, as an experimental septet, they will explore atmospheric and heavy sound paths, from the spiritual to the dystopian, or wherever total improvisation may take them.

MATS GUSTAFSSON:

Saxophone player, improviser and composer. Solo artist and international tours and projects with a.o. Sonic Youth, Merzbow, Jim O´Rourke, Barry Guy, Otomo Yoshihide, Yoshimi, Peter Brötzmann, Neneh Cherry, Chrsitian Marclay, ALbert Oehlen, Ken Vandermark and in working groups FIRE!, THE END, LUFT, ANGUISH and Gush. Projects with The Underflow, Boots Brown, Swedish Azz and Fake (the facts), BNNT. Large ensemble work with FIRE! Orchestra, Klangforum Wien and the NU – ensemble. Over 2000 concerts and over 250 record productions in Europe, Australia, Africa, North & South America and Asia.

Collaborations with contemporary dance, theatre, art, poetry as well as projects with noise, electronica, contemporary rock and free jazz.

CHRISTOF KURZMANN:

A musician of mainly the clarinet and computer, he wanders between electropop, improvisation and "new music". He is occasionally a soloist though prefers to be part of a collective or working group. Kurzmann has performed on every continent but Australia.

Owns and runs the label Charhizma (right spelling charhizma with "c" instead of "C"), which currently functions as a platform to present musicians from around the world in various live settings. Under that program, he organizes various events in the music- and media-genres. Kurzmann also works as a sound engineer, mixes and masters audio: mainly for releases on charihizma.

SANS CORPS: They started in 2017. Their debut album “Null” was released in 2018 by Underflow Records, and a second one is on its way. They use guitars, bass, reeds, drums, percussion, voices, keys, and various objects & e-effects. Devoted to free improvisation & experimentation, Sans Corps combine elements from apparently disparate musical genres into a new, unorthodox unity. Their basic principle: If every time you do it like it’s the last time, then there will be a next time.
