Ο Dominic Fernow επιστρέφει στην Ελλάδα για μια μοναδική εμφάνιση και των δυο του πρότζεκτ, Prurient και Vatican Shadow στην ίδια βραδιά! Η δισκογραφική π electronics στεγάζει το παρτυ Νο39 στο Temple Club της Αθήνας και σας προσκαλεί σε μια μεγάλη βραδιά που θα ξεκινά από τις 21:00 το βράδυ της Παρασκευής 16 Νοεμβρίου και θα τελειώνει τις πρώτες πρωινές ώρες του Σαββάτου 17 Νοεμβρίου.

Δεν χρειάζονται και πολλές συστάσεις για τον Domenick Fernow, γνωστός στο ευρύτερο κοινό ως Prurient, ή Vatican Shadow, όπως επίσης και από τα χρόνια του στις μπάντες Cold Cave και Wolf Eyes - ή με άλλα ψευδώόνυμα όπως τα Exploring Jezebel, Mitochrondiral DNA και Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement. Ο Αμερικανός θρύλος της πειραματικής noise / electronica και ιθύνων νους της δισκογραφικής Hospital Productions, με παρουσία σε άλλες σπουδαίες δισκογραφικές εταιρίες του χώρου όπως οι Blackest Ever Black, Downwards, Ostgut Ton και Editions Mego, παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα και τις δύο καλλιτεχνικές προσωπικότητές του (Prurient και Vatican Shadow) στην ίδια βραδιά, γεγονός το οποίο προβλέπεται να συσπειρώσει το noise και techno κοινό της Αθήνας.

O Fernow θα έχει μαζί του σε αυτό το show και την Becka Diamond, label manager της δισκογραφικής του, Hospital Productions και ανερχόμενη Νιουγιορκέζα DJ που έγινε ευρέως γνωστή από τα DJ set της στις βραδιές της Hospital Productions.

Τους Αμερικανούς καλεσμένους μας θα πλαισιώσει μια σείρα διακεκριμένων Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών. Ένας εξ’ αυτών είναι ο Γεώργιος Καραμανωλάκης, παραγωγός πειραματικής ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής, με μουσικές επιρροές που ξεκινούν από noise και drone, και φτάνουν μέχρι την free jazz. Η χρήση ηλεκτροακουστικών τεχνικών, μαζί με synthesizers, drum machines, tape machines αλλά και field recordings χαρακτηρίζει τον ήχο του Καραμανωλάκη, ο οποίος σε πολλούς ίσως είναι γνωστός και από την cult, post-apocalyptic, synth-punk μπάντα του, ΟΔΟΣ 55, τις συνεργασίες του με τους Hiroshi Hasegawa (Astro) και Jean-Marc Foussat και το ραδιοφωνικό του show “Athens Inner City Broadcast” στον πειραματικό ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό του Λονδίνου “Resonance FM”.

Δεν θα μπορούσε να λείπει από μια τέτοια βραδιά ο ίσως πιο καταξιωμένος Ελληνας παραγωγος στο εξωτερικό την παρούσα χρονική περίοδο, o ANFS. Ιδρυτής της σταθερά ανερχόμενης Αθναϊκής δισκογραφικής Vanila, όπως και συνιδρυτής της μουσικής “ομπρέλας” γνωστής ώς Modal Analysis, ο ANFS θα δώσει το παρόν πραγματοποιώντας ντεμούτο με ένα πολύ ξεχωριστό set.

Τέλος, οι resident DJs της δισκογραφικής π electronics που συμπληρώνουν την λίστα των καλλιτεχνών της βραδιάς, θα είναι οι 3.14 και DΛS.

Αυτό θα είναι το τελευταίο π party για το 2018 στην Αθήνα, με μόλις άλλα δυο να απομένουν επί Ελληνικού εδάφους μέχρι την ολοκλήρωση του project των π parties. Περισότερες πληροφορίες θα ανακοινωθούν τους επόμενους μήνες.

Dominic Fernow returns to Greece for a very special show, performing both his projects, Prurient and Vatican Shadow, on the same night! The Pi Electronics label hosts its number 39 party, at Temple Club, Athens starts at 21:00 on Friday, November 16th and lasting until the morning of Saturday, November 17th.

The living legend, Domenick Fernow, also known as Prurient or Vatican Shadow, doesn’t need much of an introduction. Some fans also know him from his participation in bands like Cold Cave and Wolf Eyes, or by the alternative IDs of Exploring Jezebel, Mitochrondiral DNA, Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement and more. Coming from the US, this experimental noise artist is also the mastermind behind the Hospital Productions record label and in this special show, he will present both his projects, Prurient and Vatican Shadow, for the first time in Greece, in one show. This is a call to the noise and techno supporters of Athens, Greece and the rest of the world! Fernow’s collaboration with labels such as Blackest Ever Black, Downwards, Ostgut Ton and Editions Mego -among others- may be familiar to dancefloor - oriented audience.

Both shows, Prurient and Vatican Shadow will be accompanied by the Hospital Productions’ label manager and charismatic DJ Becka Diamond. Hailing from New York City, acknowledged for her DJ sets on the Hospital Productions nights, Becka Diamond has been crafting decks all around the world, for years now.

Our American guests will be supported by some of the most prominent Greek artists of today. First on this list, we host the live performance of Georgios Karamanolakis, experimental electronic music producer – with influences ranging from monolithic drones and noise, to elements of free jazz and musique concrete, using many -modified or not- analogue and digital synthesizers, field recordings and tapes, metallic objects and various electroacoustic techniques. He might also be known from his leading participation in the Athenian cult, post-apocalyptic synth-punk band ODOS 55, the underground urban intervention team OMIO, his collaborative work with artists such as Hiroshi Hasegawa (Astro) and musique concrete master Jean-Marc Foussat, or even his “Athens Inner City Broadcast” show at the London Resonance FM experimental radio station.

ANFS is probably the most rising Greek artist at the moment. He is the founder of the highly respected label Vanila, and co-founder of the Modal Analysis label. This time he will present a very special collaborative DJ set, for the first time.

Completing the line-up, the residents DJs of Pi Electronics, 3.14 and DΛS will support the night as hosts of Pi39.

This is the last Pi party in Athens for 2018, and two more will occur in Greece, in 2019. More info will be announced in the following months.
