Tommaso Perazzo trio σε μια μοναδική συναυλία!

Ο πιανίστας Tommaso Perazzo κ ο μπασίστας Κίμων Καρούτζος γνωρίστηκαν στην Ολλανδία και παίζουν μαζί τα 3 τελευταία χρόνια.Στις 28 Ιουνίου θα βρεθούν στην σκηνή του The ZOO για μια και μοναδική εμφάνιση, συναντώντας τον Βασίλη Ποδαρά στα ντραμς. Θα παρουσιάσουν κυρίως ορίτζιναλ συνθέσεις του τρίο και κάποια jazz standards. O πιανίστας Tommaso Perazzo είναι ένας από τους τρεις πιανίστες που επιλέχθηκαν φέτος για να παίξουν μπροστά στον Herbie Hancock, Wayne shorter και Ambrose Akinmusire ως φιναλίστ της διαδικασίας επιλογής για το πρόγραμμα του Thelonious monk institute. Επίσης κέρδισε φέτος το βραβείο Massimo Urbani στην Ιταλία και το δεύτερο βραβείο στο keep an eye jazz award.

Tommaso Perazzo was born in 1996 in Italy; he is currently studying piano jazz at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and in the last two years he had several chances to perform not only in the Netherlands, but also in Germany, Belgium and Italy.

He recently played at the Bimhuis with his trio during the finals of the Keep en eye International Jazz Competition; the band won the 2nd prize, and Tommaso was also awarded as best Cva soloist.

In February 2018 he was selected for the auditions of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Los Angeles, having the opportunity to play in front of a jury composed by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Ambrose Akinmusire among the other artists.

Besides his work as a pianist, Tommaso plays also Hammond organ.

Tommaso Perazzo: piano

Kimon Karoutzos was born in Athens, Greece in 1995. He completed his bachelorʼs degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam between 2015-2018, before he moves to New York City coming September to continue his masteras degree at Manhattan School of Music, with bassist Ron Carter. He has collaborated / performed with world renowned jazz musicians as Greg Hutchinson, Dick Oatts, Wycliffe Gordon, John Clayton, Logan Richardson, Jesse van Ruller, Ben van Gelder, Joe Cohn, Eric Ineke, Martijn van Iterson, Hermon Mehari etc. He has performed in clubs and festivals all over Europe, among them Umbria Jazz 2017, 2018 and North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2017 he received the award of “best soloist” at the prestigious competition “ Keep an eye International Jazz Award”, in Amsterdam.

Κίμωνας Καρούτζος: Kontrabasso

Billy Pod (aka Vassilis Podaras) was born in Athens,Greece in 1988. 

He started playing drums at the age of 11. 

His musical studies include 6 years of classical piano and violin lessons. At the age of 18 he was accepted at the jazz department of the Ionian university of Corfu and 5 years later he got his bachelor degree and later his masters degree in jazz performance.

From 2009 he is one of the most active musicians in the Greek jazz scene collaborating and performing internationally at festivals and venues in Europe,USA and Asia.

Tivon Pennicott, Jd Walter , Emmet Cohen ,Rufus Reid ,Bobby Sanabria ,Manfred Schoof ,Olivier Temime ,Timo Lassy ,Dean Bowman ,George Kontrafouris ,Takis Paterelis ,Vasilis Rakopoulos ,Dimos Dimitriadis ,Dimitri Vasilakis ,Vasilis Xenopoulos ,Nikolas Anadolis among others are some of his latest collaborations.

He is member of the band Next Step Quintet (latest release feat.Tivon Pennicott) and he is soon going to release his debut album entitled ‘drums to heal the society’.
