Πέμπτη, 19 Απριλίου στις 10 μ.μ.

Born in Istanbul in 1984 to a family of painting artists, Sanat Deliorman took up singing jazz when studying translation at Bogaziçi University in her hometown. After these two years in school's a cappella jazz choir, she improved her singing skills attending workshops held by names like Sibel Köse, Randy Esen, Judy Niemack, John Baesley, Mark Murphy and Amy London. Garnering attention with her voluminous voice and theatrical singing, she won 2011 IKSV Young Jazz Competition, while receiving jury's prizes from 2011 Nardis Young Jazz Vocal and 2012 Akbank JAmZZ competitions.

In 2012, she founded her own band, "Sanat Deliorman and Her jazz Bros", and since then, she has collaborated with old masters and new generation talents of Turkish jazz scene. She has held gigs at clubs like Nardis and Samm's Bistro, also appearing in municipality festivals. Since a year, she has been making gigs with the Polish jazz pianist Janusz Szprot in Ankara.

Last summer, Sanat Deliorman got on stage at Vertigo Jazz Club, as a participant of the International New York Jazz Masters Workshop held in Wojanów. She also held a full house gig at Duende Jazz Bar in Thessaloniki last October, to where she was invited for a second gig after a full house night. This April, after a concert with Cemal Reşit Rey Big Band in Istanbul, she'll be revisitng Greece and then will come to JazZoo in Athens, before gigs at Brooklinski Jazz Bistro in Skopje and Dit' e Nat' in Pristine. And next August she's invited to attend the Jimbolia Blues Festival in Romania.

Sanat Deliorman is now writing her own Turkish jazz songs and counting down to record her debut album. Meantime she prepares and presents her own on-air radio show called "World's Jazz" at Açık Radyo every Tuesday evening, while penning articles for www.jazzdergisi.com (a 20 year-old Turkish jazz magazine).
