Ο frontman των Dinosaur Jr, J. Mascis δημιούργησε μια νέα μπάντα, τους Sweet Apple με την συμβολή των Tim Parnin (Cobra Verde, Chuck Mosley), John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Death of Samantha, Guided By Voices) και Dave Sweetapple (Witch).
Ο δίσκος τους κυκλοφορεί τις επόμενες μέρες με τον τίτλο "Sing the Night in Sorrow" και σε αυτόν συμμετέχουν πολλά ονόματα της indie-rock σκηνής. Mark Lanegan, Robert Pollard (Guided By Voices), Rachel Haden (Haden και and Doug Gillard (Guided By Voices, Nada Surf).
